We finally made it to the hotel at the airport. I was in work before 7 this morning so that I could leave at 3 and finish packing, and Carol has had a busy day running errands. We had an early dinner and left home at about 5:30, and a train, tube and bus ride later and we’re here.
It actually feels quite surreal, as we started planning this trip over a year ago. We’re now enjoying a couple of glasses of wine, trying not to think too much about the long day ahead tomorrow. We take off at 2:30 and have a 10 hr 40 flight, so it’s going to be a long day!
